Both Tim Leakey (Club Chairman/Match Secretary) and Samantha Leakey (Club Secretary) played in Leeds at a Charity Event run by Jenny Wallwork (Former World Number 5 in Doubles) and attended by a large number of current and former England Players who intermingled with the non-professionals to play mixed and singles games. This was all in aid of the Jenny Wallwork Foundation (www.jennywallworkfoundation.co.uk)
Nathan Robertson also attended the Day as it was Nathan who used to play doubles professionally with Jenny and reached a career high of World Number 1 in mixed doubles as well as being an Olympic Silver Medalist
Tim & Samantha had some fantastic games with Samantha playing with Jenny Wallwork and Tim playing with a number of the English Players
Two of the memorable matches was when Tim played Mens Doubles partnering Rajiv Ouseph (British Number 1/World Number 13 Singles Player) against two current English Team players – a great fun match (see photo)
The other match was when Samantha partnered Nathan Robertson against Tim and Chloe Birch (British No 2 Singles).
This was a fast enjoyable match and Nathan had Tim running about the court just for the fun if it!
